Message for the 2025 NFL Season

Tell Doug if you are interested in 6. or have an update for 7. below.

Here are a few reminders for the 2025 NFL season.

1. Club Status: When the ofp pools are activated in early August you will get an email stating that you can activate your username(s) on our club for 2025.  To ensure you get that email you should verify that your email address on ofp is correct. To check your email address Log into ofp and click on "My Account" at the top right of your screen.

2. When Activated: When you get that email telling you to Activate your Username(s), accept the invitation and log into ofp.  And because of the bookkeeping needed, Doug asks that if you are playing this season please Activate your Username(s) asap so he is not overwhelmed the week before the first games. To previous participants, you can pay entry fees at your convenience but we do ask for all fees to be paid by the second Sunday games in September.  A number of participants are already paid. Doug is notified when a username is activated on OFP after which he will send an email stating how much you have paid and/or give you entry fee payment options.

3. New Participants: More participants means more & possibly better prizes so by all means invite family/friends/co-workers to join this year. Having people you know in the club may provide more fun during the season watching how they do. Send them the link to our club, this page, and get them to email Doug giving your name as reference and Doug will help them get set up.

4. Analysis: After you activate your username, whenever you are logged into dougsqbclub, from any screen click on "analysis" at the top of the screen to see analysis on team defenses, offences, match ups for the upcoming games etc.  Stats for 2024 should still be on the site until August but they get deleted at the start of the season and 2025 stats will appear. Stats get updated weekly. This may help you when doing picks, but of course it could also confuse you lol. The top of the ofp screen is where you click on standings to see club members weekly and season standings. Weekly winners in our club can be found on the club website by clicking on 'Weekly Winners' link on the menu.

5. Improvements: Unless Doug gets some good suggestions the club will operate the same as previous years. If you have an idea that could make the club more fun, tell Doug now and he'll look into whether or not your idea is useable this year.

6. User Names: Doug says: "I enjoy watching how friends, family and people I've known for 15-20-25 years or more do during the season." If you don't mind club members knowing who you are and where you live and watching your progress during the season, let Doug add your name & where you live to the 'Participants Names' page, link is on the menu at the left. Just email Doug giving that info and he will add you. This page stays on this website all season so you can check it anytime. If you'd like to communicate with a participant let Doug know and he will ask that person if they have any issue with giving their email address out.

7. Ctfs: This quarterback club was started when Doug worked at ctfs in Welland for 39 years until 2009. The "Participants Names" file shows current and former ctfs people who are or were in the club.  Please tell Doug any Ctfs people you know are missing.

8. MY Participation
: Doug says: "You know my Username and I submit my picks just like every participant does. If I, as Pool Manager, alter any user's picks including my own you will know because the system puts an M beside that username in the All Picks AND Standings reports. M means the Pool Manager altered that persons data. Pool Managers are NOT able to remove any letter including an M. If you see an M beside a username I will put an explanation in the Managers Note area on the left side of the ofp main page. M is kind of like the A beside a Username. An A means that user did not submit picks before the cut off time so Insurance did the picks for that user ie: Autopicks kicked in. If you see any letter beside a username in any report scroll to the bottom of that page to find out what that letter is telling you."

Have a great Summer and again I hope you participate in 2025.
